Educational Visits
Barcelona 2017
Monday
We headed off to John Lennon Airport for our afternoon flight to Barcelona. There was lots of excitement on the plane among the pupils and staff as it was our first time in this magnificent Mediterranean city – and it didn’t disappoint! We found our apartments and went for dinner in a Galician tavern where we impressed the waiter with our Spanish and our good manners.
Tuesday
After breakfast we went to see two famous modernist works by Gaudí: Parc Guell and The Sagrada Familia Cathedral. After so much walking in the Barcelona sun we headed back to the apartments and went for pizzas and an early night.
Wednesday
This morning we caught the bus to a very rainy Passeig de Gracia and walked to La Boqueria market for lunch. We took in the rest of La Rambla and arrived at the Aquarium for an afternoon visit then an evening visit to the Chocolate Museum – sweet! We finished the day eating Paella and watching the match.
Thursday
This was a long day! Highlight – sitting in the dug out at the Nou Camp Stadium. Lowlight – arriving home late after airport chaos. But we were home after an unforgettable week. Well done to all the pupils. They were a credit to the school and their families and showed just what independent, responsible and fun young people they are and all completed their expedition section for their awards.

Visit to Paris 2015
Tuesday 28th April,8 Redbridge students and 4 members of staff set off on the second annual Duke of Edinburgh expedition to Paris, France.
The students had planned a two day visit to the Paris area, taking in Parc Asterix theme park as well as all the sites of the city centre. There were Gold, Silver and Bronze award participants and each one set themselves a challange in Paris.Please view the photo's of the Paris expedition below.

Visit to Paris 2014
Seven Redbridge students and three lucky staff had the trip of a lifetime when the first Redbridge DofE expedition to Paris took place.
The aim of the expedition was to explore and experience a foreign culture and use their newly acquired language skills. After their preparation of learning French, completing a first aid qualification and planning their trip using maps they all embarked on a very special journey.
